  • Unit 1: The Basics of This Great Language
    Unit 2: Nouns and Verbs Revisited
    Unit 3: Subjects, Predicates, Capitalization
    Unit 4: Phrases, Clauses, and Words with EI and IE
    Unit 5: Sentences and Word Endings
    Unit 6: Types of Sentences, Punctuation, and Plurals
    Unit 7: Homonyms, or Which Word Do I Use When?
    Unit 8: More Commonly Misused Words

  • The only things required for this class are a basic understanding of English and a desire to succeed.

    Textbooks

    This course is self-contained, but a copy of Writers INC: A Student Handbook for Writing and Learning is recommended. Access to the Internet and the book’s corresponding website (www.thewrite­source.com) will also be helpful.
